The president had yet another strange mark on his hands over Christmas, once again raising concerns that his health is not what he has claimed it to be.

Donald Trump—the oldest person to ever be elected president—was photographed with what appeared to be another bruise on Christmas Eve, this time marring his left hand.

The 79-year-old has repeatedly claimed that he is in pristine condition, brushing off public alarm over his deteriorating body.

I don’t know why people are thinking this is from an infusion. The hand isn’t the only place you can place an IV, if they wanted to be discreet they could just as easily place it in the forearm.

To me it looks like the regular peripheral bruising you see with patients on a blood thinner like warfarin. A good chunk of my geriatric patient population has regular bruising just like this on their hands/forearms it’s not unusual to see in elderly patients, especially if they like Trump exhibit signs of peripheral vascular disease like edema of the lower limbs.

They wouldn’t use the elbow or forearm for specific drugs which may cause pain to prevent vascular bruising and extensive pain reducing range of motion, or if it is something that requires a slow enough drip that you wouldn’t want it introduced close to arteries.

Or you know…somebody who might have a less than lucid moment and rip it out.

There’s a reason why nurses use that location extensively for infusions.
