I just scrolled through the thread quickly and only really saw correct criticism of Newsoms neoliberal policies and conservative rhetoric and liberals who don’t want to admit that these attributes are aligned with liberalism. Which ones are the tankies? Am I supposed to be the tankie? Is tankie when you criticize liberals now? Or is this a comment sorting kinda thing?

According to them, leftism rejects liberal philosophy, ie, the idea that individuals have fundamental liberties & the only legitimate authority is the kind that protects such liberties.
Leftism that rejects that idea is authoritarian AKA tankie.
