Technology@lemmy.world•BYD’s Second-Generation Blade Battery Makes Western EV Tech Look AncientEnglish
35·6 days agoThose are some impressive numbers but I’m skeptical of anything China claims about their own tech. I don’t doubt their battery tech is great but I’ve seen so many AI/CGI videos of their humanoid robots doing crazy shit and people online are eating it up.

21·13 days agoYes, and it’s easier to cool things on earth. In space, there’s no air to help you cool thinks off, you can only reject heat through radiation. Most spacecraft are carefully designed to reflect heat/light on surfaces facing the sun and radiate heat into empty space from surfaces that are shaded.

21·14 days agoSo, speaking as a former boy scout, I never thought it was a great idea to take a bunch of co-ed potentially horny teenagers out camping in the woods, but shut the fuck up, Pete. This is not your job. Yes, historically boy scouts and girl scouts have been quite different and girls should get to do the things that boy scouts do, but I was a pretty horny teenager back in my boy scout days.
