If it’s that much of a problem for her, perhaps she should consider making a name for herself in a completely different, non-computer related field, hiding her identity. Oh, you don’t want it to be that hard? Ok.

I suspect most people feel that if things get too bad (too late) things will be taken care of for them, someone else will do it, etc. Despite all the rhetoric there is still a lot of faith in the system, at least from the older folks. I have to say it is quite eerie and weird though and not in a good way.

Oh yeah my games backlog is huge, I haven’t actually played any in a few years due to depression, but all my old synths and samplers use memory that has been deprecated for ages anyways. I hope people use this time to play through their backlogs like you and maybe these companies will put a little more effort into not fucking people over. I’m a dreamer, I know.
