  • No. I mean you can get all philosophical and say that everything has value only because that’s a human concept, but thats not really something I would answer to.

Fiat has value because it’s enforced. Because we have institutions that enforce it and because all of our lives are intertwined with it. We buy food with it and we are paid with it. It’s everywhere. It doesn’t make it immune to manipulation and fraud and crime, but we can take legal action because law is also intertwined with the same system.

Crypto is , with a couple of exceptions, a really terrible casino.

  • I work a a software company that mainly develops one online software and people are used to work with computers. But even here I feel like there is some strange invisible barrier.

IT was trained to work on windows. What we do - everything works. The cost is there, calculated, it’s actually pretty small compared to everything else.

Changing is just unimaginable for a company like that - to take this risk, and for so little upside.

At a user level, almost no one would have an issue. But at the process level, damn.

  • Good article, I couldn’t agree with it more, it’s exactly my experience.

The tech is being developed really fast and that is the main issue when taking about ai. Most ai haters are using the issues we might have today to discredit the while technology which makes no sense to me.

And this issue the article talks about is apparent and whoever solves it will be rich.

However, it’s interesting to think about the issues that come next.
