I was responding to a comment that claimed people in other countries need to carry ID everywhere and it’s considered normal. I was saying that in Canada, no we do not need to carry ID everywhere to prove our citizenship. It is, in fact, bad and alarming that Americans are starting to need ID to prove their citizenship under threat of being kidnapped by federal agents. I don’t know how your questions are supposed to be relevant to that point

I’m Canadian. I don’t drive but I have a government ID. I lost it once and didn’t get around to replacing it for like two years. I got along fine without it and was never stopped by police demanding I prove I’m a Canadian citizen. Couldn’t buy liquor though. There was no election during that time and it was before i started using weed. You need ID to drive, board a plane, buy certain products, and vote but you’re not expected or required to carry it everywhere you go.

True but he’s been accused of so damn many crimes, something should have been done about it by now. In a sane society, someone with this many serious allegations against them would, at the very least, not be elected to a position of power, even if the allegations are unproven

Yeah, I get the impression that the Bible barely views women as moral agents at all. The rules are written by men, for men. And when a man races a woman, she isn’t viewed as the victim, her father is viewed as the victim because he is her owner

The same way you become president without knowing anything about civics

The Bible says the punishment for rape should be having to marry your victim. This punishes the victim too, but the Bible shows no concern for that.

I could see wanting to name one thing after myself if I were rich and famous, but naming multiple things after yourself starts to get obnoxious

I’m not sure if this is directed at me specifically or the American people but 1) I’m not American and 2) I’m not being defeatist, I’m demanding something be done to change things just like you are. Before the people can do something, they need to recognize that the government isn’t going to do anything to stop this
