This is definitely a thing.

At this point anyone with expertise of any kind should resign. They either haven’t gotten around to firing you, they’ll ask you to do something unethical, or you’re already doing their dirty work (and you may not know it).

And not even close to encouraging breaking the law. I’ve heard politicians have essentially the same “let’s move on” attitude about school shootings.

Threatening people into turning in their neighbors is some NK bullshit. Paying people to rat on them is just the next evolution of capitalism.

Of course it is, because nobody is willing to try and quantify or qualify the harms that seeing pornography has on a young person. It’s just “adult content” so we’ll go so far as to put VR headsets on everyone and ask them to verify their age or else they get a PG, low-polygon representation of reality!
