Democrats in Congress have assiduously avoided talk of a third impeachment of President Trump, concerned that it would distract from their midterm campaign message. That tide seems to have turned.

They should file for articles of impeachment for every impeachable event. Don’t stop, keep flooding it and showing his crazy corruption

heck I don’t see why they can’t have everyone one have all the previous with new ones appended. Every time one goes out a new one should be put in.

People have lost faith in voting in epic proportions. That needs fixed. I wonder if they have a plan for that.

That wasn’t my question. My question was vote for what, the same people that helped get us to where we are right now?

Democrats have been proving for a few decades now they’re completely incompetent. Fascism did not rise in a vacuum, it had help, and they were called Democrats.

So vote in the primaries to get rid of the types of Democrats that contributed to the problem. Vote for progressives that won’t take money from AIPAC.

What if getting the record of impeachment is part of the strategy for the midterms? Every R who votes “he’s fine” has to explain that to their district

What if they’re actually a control opposition and they’re only impeaching him now so that they can’t impeach him later?

Nobody is looking for that. We already have Affordability, the Trump-Epstein Files, the War, ICE, and a whole lot more to bludgeon him with, and all are proven winners with the voters. We don’t need to go fishing around for more, it will just distract from what’s already working really, really well. Let’s just keep up the pressure on those fronts.

I am. Given the executive there is nothing congress can do but get rid of him as anything they pass will be managed by incompetence. Sometimes you have to go after the only thing that can solve the issue even if its tough or impossible if everything else is pointless due to it.

Is it provably working well though or are you relying on hopium? The democratic party polls well below republicans right now. People seem to assume and hope that if voters hate trump they will vote dem, and that hasnt yet been proven to work. Maybe disgruntled voters just wont vote.

Dems need to actually stand for something that the people want. Would that be so bad? Would taking slightly fewer bribe checks and doing their effing job be so bad?

Yes, they are proven to be working, just look at Trump’s approval ratings, which are in the low to mid 30s, and steadily dropping. The issues I mentioned are even getting traction with disillusioned MAGAs, including some of the loudest, like Empty G, and Schmucker Carlson. These issues are proven all right. We really only need one, and we have a bunch of strong ones, and a whole lot more smaller ones that resonate with individual citizens for their own reasons.

And yes, Dems are actually polling less than MAGA, but that’s misleading. Nobody is asking WHY that is. People who are against Democrats aren’t FOR MAGA. They see MAGA as a corrupt criminal enterprise, but they see Dems as hopelessly out-of-touch, and inept. With competent leadership, the Dems can still improve and become a viable party that represents the people, while MAGA is completely irredeemable, and must by abolished as a genuine National Security Threat. THATS the difference in perception. Neither is doing well with the American voters, but for very different reasons.

And don’t forget that there are a lot more Independents than either MAGAs or Dems, and they answer polls, too. When you see a poll that says that only a small percentage support either party, you are glimpsing the nearly invisible power of the American Independents. No politician wins without the support of the Independents. You can get every single vote of your base, but if your opponent wins the independent vote, you will lose every time.

Indies are the most powerful force in American politics by a long ways, but they don’t throw it around, have conventions, establish think tanks, create party platforms, etc. The media barely acknowledges the Indies, and NOBODY knows what they are thinking. They just quietly watch, and VOTE.

I admire your sense of optimism. Its heartening and I respect it and think maybe you are living life the best way, although it seems doomed in this one case.

The Apr 9 symbolic vote in the DNC to stop PAC influence was defeated, as was the separate symbolic vote to stop AIPAC influence in the party. So its still a party that doesnt acknowledge that the opinions of independents are worth hearing. They will demand independents come to them, and I think with the group of insincere clowns they will run as candidates, it wont work and they will lose the midterms, again.

Which only really leaves accelerationism, right? I wouldnt be disappointed to be wrong, but we have to be prepared for either outcome. We need to win your way or we need to dismantle it so the mass killing and gross inhumanity (even within our own borders) stops. Seems to me that worst case is laying back and letting the blood of uncountable innocents accumulate on our hands.

So doing what the centrists demand is not an option.

Really no need for that when they’re publicly kissing his ass every day.
