Billionaire Elon Musk’s offer to pay TSA personnel during the partial government shutdown poses “great legal challenges,” according to the White House.

The world’s richest man recently shared a social media post offering to pay TSA employees amid the Department of Homeland Security shutdown, which began in mid-February after lawmakers failed to reach a deal on funding the agency. TSA employees are working without pay which has led to staffing shortages and long security lines at airports nationwide.

Republicans want to privatize everything as part of their hatred of taxes and their want to hobble government. They have spent since George W. trying to decapitate the postal service to force people to use FedEx, UPS, and DHL.

Yes. They want to privatize every agency they can. They can’t do that while the TSA is unionized. They’re trying to starve the union out so they can gut the agency, put in private security and hand off control of the airways to a croney.

Why would Trump offer to pay the TSA recently? Was this just a band-aid to make it look like he cares as much as Elon knowing full well it won’t change anything in the long-run? (Yes, I know Elon doesn’t really care either)
