Seeing as Omar is Muslim, my guess is on pig fat. But yeah it is a terrible reason to go to jail, and according to his neighbor, he knew he’d be arrested. He also had a major injury recently, so maybe he figured he’d have better health care in prison, so it’s like robbing a bank for $1
People who do this sort of thing are rarely rational. You don’t usually get to the point where you’re attacking a political figure in an extremely public way by thinking things through. Dude was probably off his rocker.
